Τι είναι τα εννοιολογικά ντοκιμαντέρ και πώς διαφέρουν από τα θεωρούμενα παραδοσιακά (ταινίες τεκμηρίωσης);

Ένα εννοιολογικό ντοκιμαντέρ είναι ένα ντοκιμαντέρ, το οποίο δεν βασίζεται μόνο στη δημιουργία μιας αφήγησης με βάση τη χρήση φωτογραφιών, βίντεο, μουσικής και φωνής υποβάθρου (αφήγησης), αλλά και στη διερεύνηση μιας ιδέας και μιας έννοιας.

Συνδυάζοντας τη δύναμη των λέξεων με τη δύναμη της εικόνας έχω εστιάσει ιδιαιτέρως στον τομέα των (όπως τα χαρακτηρίζω) “χειροποίητων εννοιολογικών ντοκιμαντέρ”.

Πρόκειται για πρωτοποριακή εννοιολογική κινηματογραφία (conceptual cinematography), όπου ο χειρισμός εννοιών και της επίδρασης της εικόνας μπορούν να επεκτείνουν το φάσμα της αντίληψης μας για τον Κόσμο μας. Είναι ένας εντελώς νέος τρόπος με τον οποίον προσεγγίζουμε τα πράγματα.
